For over 40 years, Catherine has practiced exclusively in family law, earning a reputation as a trusted, compassionate, and highly skilled advocate across the Greater Toronto Area.
Initial Consultations
Your initial consultation will be conducted personally by Catherine A. Haber. During the consultation, Catherine will review your circumstances, discuss your goals, and provide tailored advice on the best path forward—whether negotiation, mediation, arbitration, litigation, or otherwise. After the consultation, clients who wish to proceed will receive a Retainer Agreement outlining all fees, flat rates, hourly rates, and required financial retainer.

Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto before obtaining her LL.B. from Queen’s University Faculty of Law. She articled with the former firm of Justice John White in Hamilton, Ontario, and has continued her professional development throughout her career, including completing a mediation program at the University of Toronto and participating in numerous continuing legal education programs.
Throughout her career, Catherine has represented clients in a wide range of complex family law matters. She has appeared at all levels of court, including the Ontario Court (Family Division), the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Family Division), and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
In addition to her extensive courtroom experience, Catherine has developed significant expertise in negotiation and mediation. She has successfully resolved countless disputes outside of court and has also served as a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Superior Court of Justice, Family Division, in Milton.
Catherine has further contributed to the advancement of family law by serving as a panel member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, where she represented the interests of children in family law proceedings.
